The Sepia

By: Jon Minners

This CD is a sampler of some of The Sepia's work. There really are no words in these songs, so there is little to discuss in terms of lyrics. All there is to discuss are the killer beats that are a body builder's dream come true. Sepia is all about electronica, but with a hard edge to it. It's adrenaline-pumping music that will leave you bobbing your head, moving your feet, and pump you up enough to dance like Christopher Walken in that Fatboy Slim video.

The Sepia seems to have a long history dating back to the 80's as it says on their website The-Sepia.co.uk. The group is kind of weird and their website is even weirder. I would love to meet these people to see if their strange talk is just a gimmick or if this is how they truly act. What is Sepia about? According to the website, it is a world we must enter. Confused? Well, who cares? Just enjoy the music and let your body go.

As I said, four songs are presented on this CD and each one is just as good as the last. Titles include Blade, Dominate and Chasing the Dark. They definitely have a gloomy feel to them, which you can certainly sense in the music. However, the best song of them all has to be the darkest. I Hear Screams

Journey into the mind's eye where one can see anything they wish to see, feel anything they would like. Journey into a real...Oh, just journey to their website, listen to some samples and purchase the CD. You'll be happy you did.
