...hand. We may not want to admit it, but this is how we act in conversations. The author is great at making everything sound so realistic that we forget there are aliens and super heroes in the book. The Fix is a pop culture masterpiece in that it contains references to anime, manga, popular television shows like the Simpsons and great songs, too. One scene depicts a killer who decides to play Possum Kingdom as he savagely murders a gang member. If they do make this into a movie, the soundtrack has all ready been prepared. This is an up-to-date book that everyone can get into, enjoy and say, that character likes the same stuff I do. This is important to a reader.
Besides great characters, The Fix also has a story to tell. Sadistic murders are being committed and it involves livers being ripped out of people's bodies. The murders are part of a bigger picture involving aliens that are trying to take over the Earth. They have dragged Mark into the matter in which his girlfriend's friend, Viv is killed. Mark is a suspect as are his girlfriend's drug dealer friend, Victor and Smitty, a shape-shifting alien. As Mark and the cops try to uncover who the real murderer is, a more sinister plot is taking place and it may involve the super heroes who have sworn to protect that Earth.
In The Fix, everything that can happen will. You won't want to put this 200-page bad boy down. If you like strange, complex, and action packed stories, I urge you to read The Fix.
