Random Acts of Surfing For February 2001

I LOVE PROFESSIONAL WRESTLIN.com

Reviewed By: Badseed

It seems like in every issue of BANDWIDTH there is some article pertaining to the world of wrestling. Well, frankly, I love professional wrestling and have since I was a child. This is Badseed and I am the writer of Badseed's Bottomline, which can be seen on Wrestleview.com and over ten other sites, including USAProfessionalWrestling. Badseed's Bottomline is running wild all over wrestling newsboards and it has received tremendous success, because fans know I am true to the sport, that I say everything from the heart, because I love professional wrestling (NOTE: Please forgive the shameless plug-JenniferJ).

Random Acts of Surfing is all about finding new and interesting sites for people to get into, but I could never review a site I all ready work for, since that would be wrong. I wanted to review a straight wrestling information site, and what better site to review than one that actually says, ILOVEPROFESSIONALWRESTLING.com. It describes my love for the sport, it describes how many people feel about wrestling and it describes our newfound desire to let everyone know how much we love the sport and we don't care what anyone else thinks. This is a fan's site and iloveprofessionalwrestling.com is for each and every fan to enjoy. It's a small site with a lot of potential and one that will be seeing their hits increase as time goes by. Of course, being featured in BANDWIDTH sure does help.

Justin (last name omitted because of his age), a 16 year old, loves professional wrestling, perhaps as much as I do. His love for professional wrestling has led him to create the website simply known as iloveprofessionalwrestling.com. "I started this site because I'm thinking about becoming a web developer when I grow up and this was probably the most popular interest to make a site from," he said. "I know there are tons of them all ready, but I am trying to make a site strictly for wrestling info (the sport itself, title histories, stuff like that). It's not big now, but eventually I'm going to add all the stuff I plan to."

The site has a cool splash page that gets you into the site. Once you click on the site, there is something for all the wrestling fans out there. The only things included that are not for all wrestling fans are the pages dedicated to women pics. Babe of the Day or Women of Wrestling sections are always included on wrestling sites, so I guess he needed to compete with all the others, but this is the only area I believe Justin should have just stuck to wrestling and forget the babes.

I examined each and every pic to make sure I was not wrong, but once I was through, I got right back into the wrestling atmosphere that makes up this site. Bios are included of major wrestlers like Chyna, Triple H and Steve Austin. Information about their past, famous quotes, and quotes other wrestlers have said about them are included in each bio, making for a complete look at the wrestler being examined. The only problem here is that some of their past is forgotten. Seems like only Triple H's WWF past is mentioned, while his past in WCW seems to be forgotten. Maybe that is actually a good thing, as I want Triple H's past, not his life before he was Triple H. That makes sense, right?

Also included is a Stone Cold photo gallery, and I bet as time goes on, Triple H, and others will have their photo gallery included as well. There is even a cool poll included that asks fans to make a decision based on wrestling knowledge, and not who they like the most. For example, he asks fans to make a decision on who loves the WWF Title more, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, The Rock, or Kurt Angle. A Rock fan should only pick the Rock if he truly believes the Rock wants the title more than Triple H. I don't think anyone can really say that is true.

Also, fans can follow links to many sites, including the WWF Media Zone, Smackdown Inc, Women of Wrestling (WOW), Wrestlewire, WWF E-Fed, and WWFWCW.com.

Now, the most important part of a wrestling website is not the links or the polls, but the newsboard with all the information, rumors, and match results for the fans to easily find. This site has a good newsboard, but it would be better if more updates were included. Seems like only four updates are posted a day. Maybe this site could use a little bit of Badseed's Bottomline to spice things up? That would reek of awesomeness! (NOTE: The author is too full of himself-Sorry-Ed). Also, there needs to be more of a balance so that WCW, ECW, and other federations are included. This is not an I love the WWF site-It's an I love professional wrestling site!

More updates, columns, quick and easy to find, ratings analysis, and match results would really build this site up in my mind. But this site is relatively small and building its way up to the top. Everything he does, he has done with top-notch execution and an excellent amount of work. This is one of those sites you love to watch grow and develop into a powerhouse site that has everyone talking. This is the type of site we at BANDWIDTH like to review and bring to the people. I expect big things from this man. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself ILOVEPROFESSIONALWRESTLING.com.
