At 16 years old Alashus, a.k.a. the Chosen One, has amassed a considerable amount of recognition and credentials most burgeoning artists could only hope to achieve.
Alashus has opened for major top charting acts Mystikal, 3LW, Mr. Cheeks, and Amarie. He has performed at the Radio Disney/Six Flags Summer Tour 2003 in Boston and his first music video was sponsored by Pepsi Project X and Infinity Broadcasting's D.C. radio station 99.5 WPGC.
In addition to the hundreds of performing hours Alashus has amassed, he has also released a seven track demo featuring his hit single Special Girl.
Alashus demo provided a contemporary hip-hop/R&B sound that revealed the mainstream ambitions of this young superstar. Alashus' flow was cool and slow paced. His lyrics are not hardcore and aloof toward women, Alashus' manages to come off with a street sense that is not sappy. His style would make a perfect compliment for an R&B/Hip Hop collaboration.
Alashus' only concern should be that he does not get lost in the plethora of new artists. The solid production featured on this CD may just go against him, because it does not set him apart from what is being heard on any Hip Hop/R&B station in the United States. Alashus has what Hollywood wants: the looks, the fashion, and most importantly the talent. He should take time to hone his skills so that one day he will truly be set apart as The Chosen One.
