Superhero Cartoon Database

Cartoons kick ass! But cartons with superheroes are even cooler to watch. Shows such as Superman, He-Man, Batman, The Impossibles and more, played an important part for many of us as children. Sometimes we want to own these lost treasures, but don't remember what episodes we need or what the titles of those episodes are. And out of plain curiosity, we may be interested in knowing about how many different Spider-Man cartoons there have been and so on. The Superhero Cartoon Database is the site you'll need to figure it all out and also provide some interesting tidbits you may not remember.

This site hosts one of the largest cartoon databases I have ever visited on the Net. The site is pretty simple and not graphically superior to most sites, but its' strength lie in its content. The site is just one big listing of links that take you to information sites about each cartoon. Still, a huge listing can be annoying to the eyes. This is taken care of by beautiful pictures of several superhero characters from years past. They break up the list to make it easier on the eyes and easier to find things.

What I like about this is that no cartoon is insignificant for this site. I was interested in learning more about the Pirates of Dark Water, an old favorite of mine that was ruined when placed on the Saturday morning lineup. When I saw this site, I also decided to check on a limited series called Invasion America. To my surprise and joy each series was listed with a synopsis, character and episode info, as well as, additional links for more information.

Information on each series is extensive and well researched. If I want to check on the Batman/Tarzan Adventure Hour, I simply click on the link and I am instantaneously taken to another page with info on the series. First is the title in big, bold, black letters. Then comes a short synopsis of the series complete with changes made to the characters and so on. Sometimes the amount of episodes and number of seasons is there. No matter what, every shows' site provides the titles of each episode per season and when that episode aired. Talk about research!

Also, at the bottom of the page, there is a bunch of advertisements that link you to sites related to superheroes. You can buy board games based on Marvel characters and you can purchase other types of merchandise by just following the links. There is even a search engine so you can look for your favorite cartoons on the full site. This site is part of the Pazsaz Entertainment Network, which also includes directories for other shows that are not of the superhero persuasion.

The Superhero Cartoon Database located is now my favorite database information site when it comes to tracking down my favorite cartoons of old. It would be better if they could soon provide little summaries of each episode for each series, where the shows still air, and what places may be selling tapes of those shows. That would make this site an even bigger asset that it all ready has been (I use this site when doing research for YBFREE.com's Animation Archives).

So, if you're a big Superman fan and would like a complete listing of shows that Superman appeared in? Well, that is no longer a problem. Just log onto the Cartoon Superhero Database to find out. And even if you think you have no need for this site, take a gander anyways. You'll find yourself checking on all your old favorites whether you intended to or not. Why, you ask. Well, because just like the shows of yesteryear, this site kicks ass.
