For a year, the Cyberspace Wrestling Federation (CSWF) has been at "war" with the National Wrestling Alliance: Total Nonstop Action (NWA:TNA) and Cybercade was the event to end the war. CSWF had their largest crowd to date and held up a strong card. What sets CSWF apart from other New Jersey indy feds is CSWF tends to deliver what it advertises and is the only New Jersey fed that uses NWA:TNA talent. This show also marked the return to New Jersey of Diamond Dallas Page.
The show opened with "The Shooter" Mike Kruel, a former East Coast Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion (ECWA) , going up against Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) regular Nick Berk. This match got the usually quiet CSWF crowd all riled up, as Kruel was able to gain the win after Berk hit a superplex and Kruel locked Berk's legs for the three count. During the match, Matt Striker scouted both men, which played an important role later in the night.
In a basic Big Man Match, Mega went up against The Hungarian Barbarian. The Barbarian substituted for Mana the Polynesian Warrior. The crowd was behind Mega throughout the match, even though the match was not impressive. The match finished when The Barbarian choked out Mega with his belt, which prompted the Ref to call for the bell and DQ The Barbarian. After the match, The Barbarian continued his attack until the head of security, Mason Raige, clotheslined The Barbarian from the ring, which drew a big pop from the crowd.

In a match I was personally looking forward too, the #1 contender for the NWA:TNA X Division Title, Sonjay Dutt, locked up with one of the better up-and-coming Cruiserweights in the Northeast, "Everybody's Favorite Wrestler" Dan Barry.
Unfortunately, this match was not as good as I thought. From what I have learned, Sonjay entered this match injured, which obviously hampered the bout. The usual high-flying wrestlers kept their match on the ground and instead used weapons. Sonjay took the win over by holding onto the ropes while rolling up Barry for the win.
The next match was a 6 Man Elimination Match, featuring "The Sure Thing" John Shane's team of CSWF Internet Champion "M Tizzle" Mike Tobin & The Solution against Ken Scampi, Josh Daniels and Danny Jaxx. On April 24, 2004, Tobin defeated Daniels for the Internet Title, and aligned himself with John Shane. In a surprise first elimination, Scampi pinned Tobin, setting up their match at the next show.
Papadon of The Solution then eliminated Scampi. Jaxx was eliminated when The Solution hit him with a Problem Solver, which was when Papadon hit a Buff Blockbuster while the opponent was on Havok's shoulders. It came down to Josh Daniels and The Solution. Daniels took the win over Papadon, then Haovk put Daniels away with the spear to become the Sole Survivor. After that match, John Shane verbally berated Tara Charisma, who he has been feuding with, until famed journalist, Bill Apter, distracted him long enough for Charisma to attack Shane from behind before being chased away by The Solution.
Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) returned to Jersey to face his longtime friend/enemy, Kanyon. DDP came out to a big pop, and before the match started, Kanyon and DDP brawled around the building for 10 minutes. When they finally got in the ring , a bloody Kanyon used a foreign object to KO DDP, and the Ref called for the bell. The crowd chanted something about manure until Larry Zbyszko came out and restarted the match.
Zbyszko came out to a monster pop as the crowd chanted, "Larry! Larry!" Kanyon said he was paid for one match, and now he is going home. Zbyszko sweetened the pot and made the match a Retirement Match, and the show was on! In a better-than-expected bout, DDP persevered and took the win over Kanyon to retire him. It was pretty much known that Kanyon would call it quits after the match, so it was just a matter of time.
Kanyon took the mic and gave a sincere speech, he spoke about when he saw Hulk Hogan beat The Iron Sheik for WWF Title in Madison Square Garden over 20 years ago, and how it inspired him to become a wrestler. He thanked the fans and DDP, Kanyon told him that he loved him. They embraced, and then Kanyon tried to hit DDP with a clothesline, but DDP ducked and hit yet another Diamond Cutter and the show went to intermission.
The next match was a MAJOR disappointment. Michael Shane defended the CSWF Cruiser-X Title against Reefer, who has been outstanding during the past year. At first, the match was set to be a Ladder Match, but Shane suffered a tailbone injury and asked the match be changed to a Lumberjack Match to protect him from further injury.
Shane refused to cooperate with Reefer and allowed Reefer NO offense. At one point, Reefer chopped Shane HARD, and Shane fought back. Tired of Shane’s antics, Reefer called the match to be ended prematurely, and Shane took the win. Shane's unprofessionalism caused tension, becuase Reefer was set to win the match. The two ended up having words in the back after the match. Reefer not hitting any offensive moves hurt the match big time, as Shane's ego took over. I guess he learned this from his cousin Shawn Michaels.
If you have not seen Striker wrestle you are missing out! He is the most entertaining and talented wrestler in the Northeast. Striker had the crowd from start to finish. The match was good and saw great exchanges until Striker hit Eckos with the Lungblower. After the match, Striker put Eckos in a cross face until Nick Berk ran out to make the save-or so we thought! Berk put the boots to Eckos and then celebrated with Striker by strutting and dancing like Michael Jackson.
The final match before War Games was a 4 Way for the CSWF Women's Title. Trinity defended the title against April Hunter, Ariel and Tracy Brooks. This was a good match with Trinity and Brooks playing great heels. However, this was more of a tag team match as Brooks and Trinity, representing TNA, kept doubling teaming their opponents. The end of the match saw Trinity try to use the Title on April, but April got behind her and German Suplexed her for the win. April currently holds the CSWF Women's Title, USA Pro Women's Title and 3PW Tag Team Title with Slyk Wagner Brown.
War Games was the match to end the show and the war. Team CSWF faced off against Team TNA. CSWF was represented by CSWF Champ Slyk Wagner Brown, former ECW Tag Team Champ Danny Doring, former CSWF Champ Sinister X, Chris Hamrick, Julio Dinero and the CSWF Tag Team Champs America's Most Wanted - James Storm and Chris Harris.
I was not happy with this match. The ring was too small for a cage match. Hamrick is underrated and needs to do more shows in the Northeast. Michael Shane did a run in, which brought Julio, Sinister X and Doring out of the cage, for a rumble on the floor. The match ended when Hamrick climbed to the top of the cage and dropped a huge legdrop on Julio and Slyk got the pin for team CSWF.
Overall the show was pretty good. The next show, slated for October 30, 2004 in Wayne, NJ, is scheduled to feature D'Lo Brown returning to the company, as well as, Abyss and AJ Styles making their debut. Also expected to take place at the next show is Slyk Wagner Brown and April Hunter taking on Michael Shane, who vacated the Cruiser-X Title after the show, and Tracy Brooks, Reefer takes on Sonjay Dutt (which should be great) and Mike Tobin will defend the Internet Title against Ken Scampi. CSWF will have tough competition that night because Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW) will be running a show about 10-15 minutes away. JAPW always runs a great show, so it will be tough to choose that night.
