Troy Neilson is the ultimate pimp-ok not really. Neilson cleverly took this negative persona and created the perfect satirical rapper and created a truly groundbreaking CD-Power is Mindful Peace or PIMP. Power is Mindful Peace goes where many in the hip-hop game dare not tread-the courage to be unique.

I laughed my ass off when I first listened to this CD, because PIMP-T sounded like dork and his delivery was damn goofy. Picture Barney the Dinosaur spitting rhymes with his posse and I guess you can figure how I reacted. However, as the record progresses PIMP-T's rhymes and beats began to make sense and hit home. In today's age of bling bling, guns, girls and sex, PIMP-T is a breath of fresh air. Besides great beats and funky sounds, PIMP-T brings revives the old school sound with fresh, freaky attempts that are fun. There is just something very infectious PIMP that leaves the listener nodding.

PIMP-T is quite aware that his music is out of the norm, and this is exemplified in PIMP-T's Party Slam with the fun rhyme I love the funk/I love to bump/I love the way you shake that hiney. Then he hits you with something deep like in Hippity Hop where he delivers the theme of the CD. Did you ever heat a beat/that take you back to the day when you were a child...when nursery rhymes were more precious than a dime/because fantasy was sill real in our mind. Also, the cool two-liner: Hey diddle diddle/I'm missing those riddles.

PIMP-T rounds out PIMP with some very talented guest stars, Mix Master Mossman and AC add to Party Slam with great fun lines that actually brought back memories of Tag-Team and Whoomp! There It Is.

Here again to break down the jam/cause I'm a big fan of the party slam/you go around and call yourself a man/but you know you can't rap the way that I can/Busting in the party, it's like hot damn/all the ladies come running/cause they know the plan/I've them, me, my video cam/no clothes required in the back of my van/causing more shit than Vietnam/making so much heat that you're gonna get a tan/fly through the ladies like Peter Pan/just call me IMac cause I got lots of ram/got more money than IBM/so the drinks on us and maybe smoke a gram/have a good time and remember when you said/God damn it's a party slam.

Finally, the one song that just rounds off just how kooky and fun this CD is, is a song called Moma, which is about loving your one and only Moms. I love my mom/she is so nice/she makes me milk and cookies/and chicken fried rice...I love you mom/more than bulls love red/I love you mom/more than Clinton loves head/I'm glad you didn't marry your cousin/and make me special ed. Do I really need to say anymore? This CD rules. It's one of the more consistent, entertaining CD's I have heard in a long time...bling bling sold separately.
