Remember when collecting comics was all you could think of doing. I mean, with whatever money you can scrounge up, you would go to the local comic store and buy a handful of comics, go home, read them, and read them again. Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Captain America were some of the best. Stan Lee helped make our reading experience enjoyable.

Remember when collecting comics started to suck. Spawn was great, but at a $1.95 an issue, things just don't seem right in the world of comics. Comics started coming out with ten different covers that glow in the dark, read to you or just plain sucked. You only could walk home with two comics unless you got a job or sold your baby brother.

The comic industry has suddenly fallen apart. There is nothing worth reading. All of a sudden comics have come out dealing with Reed Richards before he was a part of the Fantastic Four. Big deal. It doesn't take a genius to realize why the comic industry is going down the crapper. It doesn't take a genius to understand why Stan Lee has moved away from his exclusive role with Marvel and onto a new exciting venue. That is the one on the Internet. Yes, the Internet has taken over the comic industry, too.

Combining animation with a comic book feel, Stan Lee's company, Stan Lee Media has debuted on the net in a big way with two new exciting series that are sure to change the way we look at comics and animation, again. Don't believe me? Well, go to StanLee.net and see for yourself.

Be sure to check out The Accuser, a super power who has decided to right the wrongs of his past. Once, a lawyer who used his smarts to get criminals off the hook, a horrible attack causes him to lose his love and the use of his legs. But given one chance at redemption, this lawyer is given a wheelchair that transforms into a super powered suit that allows him to stop the criminals he once helped get away with murder.

This series is like Daredevil on crack. The message deals with redemption. Dan Mason, the lawyer, gets to become a good guy after years of helping the wrong side of the law. The wheelchair becomes a suit of armor that helps him walk again. He doesn't even go out to kill his enemies. He gives them a chance to redeem themselves. Redemption is the ultimate theme of The Accuser.

The look, the feel and the storylines are fresher than anything we are paying $2.25 for today. And the thing is, it is free. Just click on The Accuser link and you are transported to Shockwave and another exciting story.

Accuser is hot, and the 7th Portal, a story about videogame testers transported into a videogame world where they gain powers, is starting to really take shape as the story develops. Each takes a little time to load, but while you are waiting, you can play The Accuser game, a Simon Says type game or one for 7th Portal that is based on the Memory Game. Once the load time is done, you can sit back and enjoy a fast, maybe too fast serial that captures the imagination, keeps you wanting more and gets you screaming with anger when the closing credits come on the screen, realizing you must wait for a new episode to be made.

There have been many animation sites online, but Stan Lee has made it popular, just like he did all those years ago with Spider-Man. Remember when he was cool? See our review of The Backstreet Project in this issue!
