Welcome back Kylie Minogue! After wetting American appetites in the 80's with her cover Locomotion, Kylie disappeared from the U.S. charts and seemed destined to become an infamous one hit Cover DVD Kylie: Live in Australia Copyright Rhino Video ALL RIGHTS RESERVEDwonder in America. However, she was welcomed abroad as most good acts are in countries like England and her homeland of Australia. This year, Minogue once again reached U.S. audiences with the release of the hit dance single Can't Get You out of My Head which was accompanied by a video featuring a attractive Minogue in the skimpiest of outfits. With far reaching success of the single and subsequent CD, Fever, Kylie has released a DVD featuring the final concert of her 2001 tour in her home of Sydney, Australia.

Who says you can't go home again? Kylie Minogue hit her continent with such a that she could only hold the concerts in stadiums and they were packed. People of all ages, from kids to adults, came droves for what would be an action and sexually packed concert featuring over 20 songs from Minogue's 15 year career. Minogue's sex appeal, alluring voice and catchy new song are now good enough to get her noticed again in the so-called capital of entertainment, the U.S. But who cares if we accept her or not? This DVD proved that Minogue doesn't need to meet the American standard to judge how good she is. Fans that buy this DVD are certainly in for treat and those that do not, are just missing out.

Kylie can perform. She started the show with a song entitled Love Boat Kylie drops down on an anchor to a flock of men in Navy uniforms. From here she changes from outfit to outfit-from hot pants (showing one of Minogue's greatest qualities-her legs) to the demure suits. Not only do we get great singing, we get some wonderful entertainment, dancers strutting their stuff, backup singers really getting into the act and some fantastic choreography. This DVD captures every moment of the thrilling performance as Kylie hits us with her classics and new releases. And all I can say is that Americans have been missing out!

Kylie is a strong woman who is not afraid of her sexuality. There are several risqué dance scenes, but nothing too over the top. Most of the routines were campy in a fun kind of way. Of course, the cameraman did a wonderful job of catching the right shots, zooming in on legs, butts and cleavage as well as sweaty bodies just to highlight the sexiness of the show. There is no questioning that Kylie is hot, but this girl can sing and has matured from the days of singing Locomotion, which strangely was not included in this mix. Entertaining songs like Spinning Around, Light Years and What Do I Have to Do blend together well with a remake of Celebration and a very sexy cover of fellow Aussie Olivia Newton John's Physical.

The DVD even contains humorous backstage scenes as well as a video for the song Spinning Around. Rhino Video should be commended for bringing this concert to American shores. Rediscover Kylie Minogue. You'll wonder why we ever let her go.
